The Ellie & David Larkspur Adventures
Meet Ellie and David
Ellie Larkspur is ten years old, kind, clever, and always — always — has a plan. Her little brother David is eight, and he has never once let a plan get in the way of a good idea. Together, in a rambling old house at the edge of a small, quiet town, they turn ordinary summers into extraordinary ones — because Ellie and David are the kind of kids who notice the tunnel nobody else would, follow the light nobody else would chase, and ask the question nobody else thinks to ask.
Every book in The Larkspur Adventures drops these two siblings into a completely different kind of story — a different genre, a different world, a different flavor of adventure entirely. What never changes is who they are: her steady head, his wide-open heart, and the two of them, together, figuring it out.
Read them in any order. Each Larkspur Adventure is a fully standalone story — no cliffhangers, no required reading order, no homework. Start wherever looks the most fun.
Book 1 Under the Hill
When Ellie and David find a tunnel hidden in the hillside behind their house, they follow it into a hidden kingdom of feasts, games, and wonders — and straight into a promise they shouldn't have made. A classic-feeling fantasy adventure in the tradition of Alice in Wonderland, The Phantom Tollbooth, and David and the Phoenix, for readers who want their magic a little strange, a little eerie, and completely unforgettable.

Book 2 Over the Moon
This Larkspurs adventure looks to the sky. Equal parts gadget-driven ingenuity and heart, Over the Moon is built for readers who grew up on Danny Dunn and the Anti-Gravity Paint, The Runaway Robot, and Matthew Looney's Voyage to the Earth — with a dash of the higher-stakes wonder of The City of Gold and Lead. Homemade inventions, an unlikely visitor, and a race against the clock, told with the same warmth and wit as Under the Hill.

Book 3 Into the Ruin
Think old maps, older secrets, and the kind of ruin that's been keeping a promise for a very long time. Into the Ruin is the Larkspurs' turn at Indiana-Jones-style adventure, built in the spirit of The Egypt Game, The Children of Green Knowe, Five Children and It, The Mystery of the Green Ghost, and the quiet dignity of The Secret of the Andes — a story about curiosity, courage, and the kind of history that doesn't stay buried.
